AJKEWA

Ajkewa is about flight and connection to a new way of communicating and understanding. This work is an initial inquiry into a language that is new for me and which is part of my Salvadoran heritage. Nahuat is an indigenous language that is spoken in El Salvador, Mesoamerica.

Multimedia installation, 2019. One long-throw projector, CNC’d white styrofoam, monofilament fishing line, white acrylic paint, projection mapping, experimental moving image loop.
