YULISHKALYU

We are like mirrors to each other. A personal and intimate navigation of the meaning of identity. Yulishkalyu is a Nahuat word that comes from an indigenous language spoken in El Salvador and it means identity. The 3D printed sculpture is a fragmented self portrait that is in pursuit of a certain state of balance. In this work there is constant dialogue, shifting and movement between the projected moving image and the 3D printed sculpture.

Multimedia installation, 2020. One long-throw projector, 3D printed sculpture (white coloured PLA), projection mapping, experimental moving image loop.
